I’m trying to sharpen my pocket knives (there are two of them) but I can’t find the knife sharpener that came with our kitchen knives. Are there any household objects that work well for sharpening a knife?

  Supposedly you can roll down your car window and use the top of it to sharpen blades. I have also heard that cardboard can function as a sharpening stone. However, I would recommend buying a sharpener, preferrably a ceramic rod sharpener. I got mine for about thirty dollars and it has definitely been worth it. It will get your blades razor sharp in a short amount of time. They are also convenient because the rods maintain the proper sharpening angle for you.
