I’m trying to sharpen my pocket knives (there are two of them) but I can’t find the knife sharpener that came with our kitchen knives. Are there any household objects that work well for sharpening a knife?
I have quite a few pocket knives and an 8 dollar sharpening stone but i just can’t get it sharp enough.
I have a sharpening stone that i have been practicing on but i don’t know how to tell how sharp a knife is could you let me know?

I collect spring assisted pocket knives, which are really cool knives. Now most of my knives are display only, so I have no need to sharpen them, but I do have about 2-3 that I use to cut open packages, letters, etc.
Now I have used sharpeners like these, and they moderately sharpen my knifes, but not to the extent I like:

These knife sharpeners are so-so, but I’m looking for something that will make my knives RAZOR sharp, instead of moderately sharp, without spending more than or so. Whoever can suggest the best knife sharpener I can get to make my knives razor sharp with a price around or less will get 10 points.
All my pocket knives are dull and i need a good sharpener to sharpen them with i have serrated edges too. So if you could tell me some good sharpeners that arent to hard to use it would really help.
I have been sharpening my knives with a tiny portable stone and I am looking to move up, I can hold a decent angle. I would like the sharpener that will get me to a razor sharp edge ( no electric or slot sharpeners please ) . I will be sharpening pocket knives/survival knives and a few kitchen knives for my mom from time to time. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks
my boyfriend buys a new knife every other freakin week, because he uses them a lot at work, so i wanted to get him an electric knife sharpener. In the pictures and everything they only show kitchen knives. Do pocket knives work with it too?

Anyone recommend a good sharpening tool. I don’t like any cheap hardware as I believe in investing in quality products.
I’m not that good with a Wet/Diamond Stone so I would like to get a good quality sharpener where I could maybe select the edge I require.
I will be sharpening pocket knives with this; nothing for the kitchen although I wouldn’t mind having a dual purpose sharpener.
Also, any suggestions on how to get better with a Wet Stone?
